The Town of Ocean View is located 1 mile from the Atlantic Ocean in Bethany Beach and 1 mile from the Indian River Bay and is bounded by the Assawoman Canal and White’s Creek. The Town of Ocean View was incorporated on April 13, 1889. With just under 1900 year-round residents and a bustling population in the summer months, locals and visitors enjoy Ocean View’s quaint feel and close proximity to Bethany Beach. Golfers will be attracted to the community of Bear Trap Dunes. This 18-hole course offers winding bentgrass fairways lined with native wetland grasses.
