Bethany Beach, at the center of the Quiet Resorts, is a charming resort town. Known for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere, award-winning restaurants, and tax-free boutiques, Bethany Beach makes everyone smile.

As you approach Garfield Parkway from Route 1, you will be greeted by the iconic “totem pole,” Chief Little Owl. The 24-foot statue, a landmark since 1976, was originally created by sculptor Peter Wolf Toth, a humanitarian who created more than 50 wooden sculptures of famous Indians and donated at least one to every state.  As a result of succumbing to the elements, the original statue’s remains have been relocated to the Nanticoke Indian Museum in Millsboro, Delaware. The second statue by sculptor Dennis Beach lasted until 2000. The current statue, dedicated July 15, 2002, is made from a red cedar log from the Pacific Northwest. During the dedication ceremony, it was said that the statue pays honor to the Nanticoke nation.

Be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market in the summertime as well as the fun entertainment offered at the Bethany Beach Bandstand. The Fourth of July parade is not to missed, as it epitomizes the sense of patriotism in this small town. Walk along the boardwalk, swim, sunbathe, play miniature golf. Enjoy watersports such as kayaking, surfing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Or, simply while away the afternoon with a good book while squishing your toes in the sand. Be mesmerized by the sounds of the ocean and intoxicated by the familiar childhood scents of boardwalk french fries and funnel cakes. You will see why Travel + Leisure Magazine has named Bethany Beach one of the “Best Secret Beaches on Earth,” as well as why many have managed to make Bethany Beach their year-round home.

The Residences at The Blue Surf

What an honor and privilege it was to be chosen to represent the McCabe Family in the sale of the Residences at The Blue Surf (formerly Blue Surf Motel).
